Among a host of public and private sector companies in the country, six ‘National Safety Awards’ have been won by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) for outstanding achievements in terms of the longest accident free period and lowest accident frequency rate at their works. The awards were received by Sh. Atul Sobti, Chairman & Managing Director, BHEL, from Sh. Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Union Minister of State for Labour & Employment (Independent Charge), at a function in New Delhi. All the six awards have been won by the company’s Trichy unit.
