As part of the CSR-driven programme, Swachhata and hygiene kits were distributed to 100 girl students of Salakati M.E. School, reinforcing the importance of personal hygiene and sanitation among young learners.

To expand outreach, the organisation conducted selfie booths, signature campaigns and Swachhata-themed activities in nearby schools, encouraging students to act as cleanliness ambassadors within their communities.

A special awareness session was also conducted by Dr. Olie Mitra, Paediatrician at NTPC Bongaigaon Hospital, who sensitised students on personal hygiene, sanitation practices and healthy lifestyle habits.

The programme was attended by Kasturi Maitra, President of Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club, along with NTPC officials, school authorities, teachers and students. She praised the participation of students and encouraged them to become agents of behavioural change by spreading awareness on cleanliness and hygiene.

The initiative reflects NTPC Bongaigaon’s continued focus on community development through CSR interventions, with an emphasis on health, hygiene awareness and environmental responsibility.
