The Country’s largest power generator – NTPC Ltd. declared an unaudited Profit After Tax of Rs. 3,074.00 crore for Q3 FY 2014-15 as against Rs. 2,861.28 crore reported for the corresponding quarter in previous year, registering an increase of over 7%. The Profit After Tax of Q3 FY 2014-15 is the highest ever profit earned in Q3 by the Company. For nine-month period of FY 2014-15, the unaudited Profit After Tax is 7,346.83 crore as compared to Rs. 7,881.20 crore declared in the corresponding period of previous year.
For Q3 FY 2014-15, the unaudited Total Income was Rs. 19,339.37 crore as against Rs. 19,589.01 crore reported for the corresponding quarter in previous year. The unaudited Total Income for nine-month period of FY 2014-15 is Rs. 55,476.00 crore as against Rs. 53,039.83 crore reported for the corresponding period in previous year, registering an increase of about 5%.
The Board of Directors have recommended interim dividend for the FY 2014-15@ 7.50% i.e. 75 paisa per equity share in their meeting held on January 30, 2015. The dividend will be paid on February 13, 2015. During September 2014, dividend of Rs.1.75 was paid. Further, Company proposes to issue Bonus Debenture of face value of Rs. 12.50/- against each equity share of Rs.10/-, under a Scheme of Arrangement, subject to requisite approvals under applicable laws. Thus, the shareholder will get a benefit of Rs. 15.00 per share.
