NTPC Bongaigaon as a part of CSR initiative celebrating its 16th Raising Day brought smiles to the children of the Alarayan Orphanage, Kokrajhar by distributing school bags to more than 75 students, distributed sweet packets and planted saplings with the children along with e-voice members. Shri Subrata Manda,CGM,NTPC distributed the bags to the enthusiastic children and offered his blessings to them.
Shri Anil Chawla, AGM (HR),Shri Bonthu Balaji, Sr Manager (Operations), Shri Madhurjya Singha Lahkar, Sr.Manager (HR-Corporate Communications), Shri Diwakar Mishra, Manager (C&I), also joined the distribution programme. Shri Brinjoy Basumatary, In-Charge of the orphanage thanked NTPC for the initiative. It is pertinent to mention that this is the first of its kind initiative by the station on its Raising Day.
Previously, NTPC Bongaigaon CSR along with E-VOICE & Bardwi Sikhla Ladies club have been doing a lot of Social work in Alarayan Orphanage, Kokrajhar by donating Hand pump along with overhead tank for drinking water, Fan, Light, Distributing of warm clothes, Shoes, Stationary etc.
