Shri Sunil Mehta, Managing Director & CEO, Punjab National Bank hoisted the national flag on the occasion of country’s 72nd Independence Day at Punjab National Bank Head Office ,Dwarka, New Delhi in the presence of Shri Sanjiv Sharan and Shri L.V.Prabhakar, Executive Directors’ of PNB and Shri S.K Nagpal Chief Vigilance Officer of the Bank .
A large number of senior officers, staff members of the Bank and their family members attended the function. On this occasion ,Shri Sunil Mehta, Managing Director and CEO of the Bank administered the pledge to all present followed by National Anthem.
Addressing the August gathering Shri Sunil Mehta, MD & CEO recalled the value of the freedom. He mentioned that the banking industry is passing through the most challenging phase and each one of us has to strive hard to retain our lead and contribute in nation building. He exhorted all members of PNB Parivar to take prompt and right decision in the interest of the Bank, the society and the nation. He stressed on the changes brought in the bank by introducing centralized loan processing centres and systematically Important branches. He also exhorted all staff members to work whole heartedly across hierarchies to transform the Bank into a more productive , profitable and efficient institution.
On this occasion, PNB Prerna – an association of PNB Women Welfare Association, organised three CSR activities for women empowerment and education of children.
The function ended with release of tricolour balloons in the air by children.
