Ahmedabad, July 21: Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) on Tuesday reported a strong financial performance for the first quarter of FY2026-27, with consolidated net profit more than doubling to Rs 1,149 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, compared with Rs 513 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. The growth was primarily driven by robust expansion in the company’s transmission business and healthy operational performance across key segments.
According to the company’s stock exchange filing, consolidated revenue from operations increased 42.4% year-on-year to Rs 9,711 crore, up from Rs 6,819 crore in the same quarter last year. The strong revenue growth reflects higher contributions from the transmission, distribution, smart metering and integrated energy solutions businesses.
Operating performance remained resilient during the quarter, with earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rising 30% to Rs 3,008 crore, compared with Rs 2,314 crore a year earlier. The improvement underscores the company’s continued focus on operational efficiency and infrastructure expansion.
The transmission business emerged as the biggest contributor to growth, with revenue increasing 52% year-on-year to Rs 3,335 crore. The segment’s earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) also rose 43% to Rs 1,328 crore, supported by the commissioning of new transmission assets and improved operational performance.
The distribution business also delivered steady growth during the quarter. Revenue from the segment increased 5% year-on-year to Rs 3,520 crore, while distribution EBIT rose 18% to Rs 357 crore. In addition, the company reported strong momentum across emerging businesses, with smart metering revenue surging 210% and the energy solutions platform recording an 812% increase, reflecting AESL’s expanding presence in next-generation energy infrastructure.
The latest quarterly performance builds on the company’s strong momentum in FY2025-26, when it reported a 32% increase in adjusted net profit and record EBITDA of Rs 8,726 crore, driven by growth in transmission, smart metering and distribution operations.
Adani Energy Solutions has started FY27 on a strong note, with significant gains in profitability and revenue led by its transmission business.
