NLC celebrated 125th Birth Anniversary of Dr.Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar on 14-04-2015 at Neyveli.
B.Surender Mohan, CMD, NLC, paid floral tributes by garlanding Dr. Ambedkar’s bronze statue at Pudukuppam Junction. In his address, Shri Surender Mohan praised Dr.Ambedkar who happens to be the first law minister of India and recalled the contributions made by him for the development of the Indian Constitution. He said that ,the employees of the corporation should work hard for the growth of the organization.The CMD, enhanced the Annual grant to `.40,000, for the management the celebrations.
Sarat Kumar Acharya, Director (HR), S.Rajagopal, Director (Power), and S Boopathy, Director (P&P), garlanded the portrait of Dr. B.R Ambedkar and felicitated.
On this occasion Death Benevolent Fund created by the contribution of SC Employees Welfare Federation was distributed to the families of the diseased employees (` 50000 each) by CMD and Directors. Senior Officials and Members of the Association and employees participated. J.Ganesa Murthy, General Secretary of NLC SC/ST Employees Welfare Federation welcomed the gathering and A.T. Soundara Rajan proposed vote of thanks.
