New Delhi, April 02 The Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) signed its performance–based ‘Memorandum of Understanding’ (MoU) with the Ministry of Coal, Government of India for the Financial Year 2015-16., on 30-03-2015 at New Delhi.
The MOU was signed by Shri Anil Swarup, Secretary, Union Ministry of Coal (MOC), Govt. of India and Shri B.Surender Mohan, CMD, NLC in the presence of, Shri A.K. Bhalla, Addl.Secy, MOC Shri Vivek Bharadwaj, Jt.Secy, MOC, and Shri Amitabh Prasad OSD to Ministry of State for Coal (Independent Charge).
The targets under the ‘MoU’ for the FY 2015-16 includes Lignite Production & Power Generation. The monitoring of performance vis-à-vis MOU targets would be carried out quarterly during the Performance Review Meetings (PRMs) being held in the Ministry of Coal.
NLC achieved “Excellent Rating” for the last three financial years (2011-12,2012-13 and 2013-14) for exceeding targets set by MOC for excellent rating in different fields.
