UN Chief to Champion AI Inclusivity, Sound Alarm on Risks at Delhi Summit

United Nations, Feb 17: At the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will advocate for inclusivity in artificial intelligence and raise awareness of its risks.

He will emphasize the need for diverse voices in policy-making, rather than leaving it to a few nations or companies.

The summit features participation from leaders of twenty countries, including Emmanuel Macron and Pedro Sánchez. Guterres aims for everyone to have a role in determining the direction of AI, as its developments will significantly impact many nations that might otherwise be overlooked.

While in Delhi, he will also meet with Indian leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
