Mumbai – July 18, 2018: The country’s largest lender, State Bank of India won the ‘Mobile Banking Initiative of the year in India’ award for YONO at the current edition of Asian Banking and Finance Retail Banking Awards held recently in Singapore. The award was received by Shri. Sandeep Ubale, General Manager (IT-Digital Banking), SBI.
Launched in November 2017, YONO (You Only Need One) by SBI is a one-of-its-kind digital banking platform for lifestyle, banking, insurance, investment, and shopping needs. Users of YONO can do number of things through this app such as applying for loans, opening an instant savings account and even shopping online. YONO is available on both Android and iOS platforms and it offers a range of customised products, including offers and deals from more than 60 e-commerce players. YONO has crossed the milestone of 6.5 million downloads combining Google Play Store and App Store. At Google Play Store the app is also featured in the top 5 ‘Free Finance App’ list.
The recently concluded ABF Retail Banking award ceremony recognizes banks that stand out with groundbreaking products and services despite the various challenges faced by the banking sector.
