New Delhi, July 17: REC Limited, a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Power and a leading infrastructure financing Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC), has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Career Forum to implement a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project for establishing 20 Smart Classrooms in government schools across Alipurduar district of West Bengal.
The agreement was signed on July 14, 2026, by Arun Kumar Tyagi, Executive Director (CSR), REC Limited, and Anant Chauhan, Chairman, Career Forum, in the presence of L. B. Nautiyal, Head of Department (CSR), REC Limited, along with senior officials from the organisation.
Under the CSR initiative, 20 technology-enabled Smart Classrooms will be developed in government schools to provide interactive digital learning tools that enhance classroom engagement and improve academic outcomes. The project is expected to directly benefit more than 1,500 students, particularly those studying in rural and tribal areas of the district.
The initiative focuses on strengthening digital education infrastructure by integrating modern teaching technologies into classrooms. By providing students and teachers with access to smart learning resources, the programme aims to create a more engaging and effective learning environment while supporting the government’s efforts to promote digital education across underserved regions.

गुरुग्राम: आरईसी लिमिटेड, विद्युत मंत्रालय के अधीन एक महारत्न सीपीएसई और अग्रणी एनबीएफसी, ने ‘पश्चिम बंगाल के अलीपुरद्वार के सरकारी स्कूलों में 20 स्मार्ट क्लासरूम की स्थापना’ नामक कॉर्पोरेट सामाजिक उत्तरदायित्व (सीएसआर) परियोजना के कार्यान्वयन के लिए करियर फोरम के साथ एक समझौता ज्ञापन (एमओए) पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं।
आरईसी लिमिटेड के कार्यकारी निदेशक (सीएसआर) श्री अरुण कुमार त्यागी और करियर फोरम के अध्यक्ष श्री अनंत चौहान ने 14 जुलाई, 2026 को एमओए पर हस्ताक्षर किए। यह हस्ताक्षर आरईसी लिमिटेड के विभागाध्यक्ष (सीएसआर) श्री एल. बी. नौटियाल और आरईसी लिमिटेड के अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों की उपस्थिति में संपन्न हुआ।
इस सीएसआर पहल के अंतर्गत, पश्चिम बंगाल के अलीपुरद्वार जिले के सरकारी स्कूलों में 20 स्मार्ट कक्षाएं स्थापित की जाएंगी। इस परियोजना से 1,500 से अधिक छात्रों को लाभ होने की उम्मीद है, क्योंकि उन्हें तकनीक-सक्षम, संवादात्मक शिक्षण उपकरण मिलेंगे जो कक्षा में जुड़ाव को बढ़ावा देंगे और सीखने के परिणामों में सुधार करेंगे।
