REC extends CSR support for Rs. 1.34 crore to National Association for the Blind for the project, holistic Education & Rehabilitation for Children with Blindness at R.K Puram Campus, Delhi.

REC Limited, A Govt. of India Navratna Enterprise, committed financial assistance under CSR initiative to National Association for the Blind (NAB)for the project, providing holistic education & rehabilitation services for children with visual impairment by providing teaching aids, infrastructural development etc. at NAB RK Puram campus, Delhi through its CSR arm, REC Foundation.

The main objective of the project is to prepare visually impaired and low vision children to get quality education, promote inclusion in society by integrating the blind children with the non-disabled child & all round personality development of the child.

The Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) in this regard was executed between REC Foundation and NAB in New Delhi on 15.05.2019, Shri S N Srinivas, CEO, REC Foundation, on behalf of REC Foundation and Shri Prashant RanjanVerma, General Secretary, NAB signed the MoAin the presence of Shri T. S. C. Bosh, ED (CSR) and other officials of REC and NAB.
