Faridabad, August 15 NHPC Limited, India’s premier hydropower company and a ‘Mini Ratna’ Category-I Enterprise of the Government of India celebrated India’s 72st Independence Day with great fervour and enthusiasm on 15th August 2018. The celebration began with the unfurling of National flag and singing of National Anthem at NHPC Office Complex, Faridabad.
Speaking on the occasion, Balraj Joshi, Chairman and Managing Director, NHPC extended his greetings to the entire NHPC family and said that we must remember the great sacrifices made by our freedom fighters because of whom we are free today.
He congratulated everyone on the recent dedication of 330 MW Kishanganga Power Station to the Nation by Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi and especially commended the NHPC Kishanganga team for their efforts. He further asked everyone to be more committed in their work and contribute towards the growth of the Nation.
The event was also attended by Ratish Kumar, Director (Projects), N.K. Jain, Director (Personnel), M.K. Mittal, Director (Finance), Janardan Choudhary, Director (Technical), Dr. Ved Prakash, CVO, other senior officers and staff of NHPC.
