New Delhi, Feb 16: Union Minister Jitin Prasada described the five-day AI Summit as a “Mahakumbh for artificial intelligence,” signifying a historic moment in India’s digital journey.
Speaking at the ‘AI Impact Summit 2026,’ he urged innovators to leverage AI for India’s self-reliance and global leadership. Prasada emphasized the technology sector’s rapid growth and the necessity for governments to adapt to remain competitive.
He advocated for AI’s role beyond academia to enhance capacity-building for youth, with a focus on practical applications that improve both business operations and quality of life.
Highlighting data as crucial to the AI ecosystem, he expressed the goal of democratizing technology access. The upcoming ‘India AI Impact Expo 2026’ is set to attract over 250,000 attendees, aimed at fostering global partnerships in the AI sector.
