HPCL awarded Greenco ‘Platinum’ Rating

HPCL’s marketing locations Bhopal LPG Plant, Calicut ASF, Kanpur Terminal and Mundra Terminal have been awarded Greenco Platinum Rating on at the 9th Virtual Greenco Summit organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry – Green Business Centre. The Greenco award announcement was made in the presence of veterans of various industries in a virtual award ceremony.

In the event, HPCL’s Executive Director HSE-Corporate- Shri. Sukumar Nandi joined as a panelist in the session on ‘Discussion with Greenco Champions’ wherein he shared the Greenco Implementation journey of HPCL, the challenges faced, benefits received and plans for further proliferation.

The Greenco Rating System is a holistic framework to assess the systems and performance of the Company’s activities on their environmental friendliness and resource conservation activities using life cycle approach while striving for accelerated growth.

HPCL’s locations secured high on the parameters of Energy Efficiency, Water Conservation, Waste management, Renewable Energy, Greenhouse Gas Emissions, Green Supply Chain, Product Stewardship, Innovationetc to secure the coveted Greenco Platinum Rating.
