New Delhi, Feb 27: Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has partnered with Google to display authorised Aadhaar centres on Google Maps, making it easier for residents to access verified services.
Under the initiative, users will be able to identify centres based on services offered — including adult enrolment, child enrolment, or address and mobile updates. Details such as accessibility features, divyang-friendly infrastructure, parking availability, and operating hours will also be shown wherever applicable.
The facility, expected to roll out in the coming months, will cover over 60,000 Aadhaar centres nationwide, including Aadhaar Seva Kendras. In the next phase, UIDAI will use Google Business Profile to manage centre information and respond to feedback, with plans to explore direct appointment booking through Google Maps.
