New Delhi, Jan 18 (IANS): UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is scheduled to visit India on January 22, marking his third trip since becoming President and his fifth in the last decade.
The visit builds on the momentum from recent high-level exchanges, including visits from notable UAE leaders in the past year. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) highlighted the strong, multi-faceted relations between India and the UAE, supported by key agreements like the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and the Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT).
This meeting aims to enhance the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two nations and discuss regional and global issues of mutual interest. Prior discussions between Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and his UAE counterpart addressed the strategic partnership’s progress and potential areas for cooperation, particularly in trade, investments, energy collaboration, and cultural exchanges.
A significant focus remains on deepening ties to promote regional and global stability, aligning their collaboration to benefit both nations and ensure sustainable development. The UAE President previously congratulated Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his political achievements, underlining the friendly rapport and mutual aspirations between the two leaders for advancing bilateral relations.
