Shri CH. S. S. Mallikarjuna Rao assumed the charge of Managing Director and CEO of Punjab National Bank on 1/10/2019.Prior to this appointment Shri Rao has been serving as Managing Director and CEO of Allahabad Bank since 19/09/2018. Before this he served as Executive Director of Syndicate Bank since 15/9/2016.Shri Rao has been a professional banker for over 34 years having held position as General Manager & CFO in Oriental Bank of Commerce. He had also worked as Assistant Vice President in erstwhile Global Trust Bank before joining OBC. He started his career in 1985 as a Probationary Officer in Bank of Maharashtra. He has vast exposure in Credit, Recovery, Treasury, Risk Management, Information Technology, Management Information System, Retail Banking, Marketing, Publicity& Alternative Delivery Channels.
