New Delhi, August 25 REC has sanctioned Rs. 10 crores for use in the area of Skill Development as a part of its CSR initiative. These funds will be used in training of women, youth, unskilled and semi-skilled workers, and shall also include vocational training. This initiative will benefit around 6400 persons from the backward areas of Central and Eastern India including Bihar. Placement assistance for 70% of the beneficiaries will also be provided. This initiative is to be implemented by National Skill Development Corporation under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India.PiyushGoyal, Honourable Minister of state for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy and Rajiv Pratap Rudi, Honourable Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship were present at the event, lauding the initiatives of REC .
