New Delhi : REC Limited (Formerly Rural Electrification Corporation Limited), A Govt. of India Navratna Enterprise, committed CSR assistance of Rs. 18.35 crore for the project “Infrastructure development of Pandit Ram Sumer ShuklaSmriti Govt. Medical College, Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand”, to be implemented by the District Magistrate, Udham Singh Nagar through its CSR arm, REC Foundation. The objective of the project is to complete and operationalize the 300 bedded hospital cum medical college to serve over 15 lakh people of Udham Singh Nagar and other surrounding districts.
The Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) in this regard was executed between REC Foundation and DM, USN in New Delhi on 31/01/2020. Dr S.N Srinivas, CEO, REC Foundation on behalf of REC Foundation and Dr. NeerajKherwal, District Magistrate, Udham Singh Nagar signed the MoA in presence of Shri S.K Gupta, Director (Technical) REC Limited, Shri AjoyChoudhury, ED (Finance & CSR), REC Limited and other officials of REC.
