RailTel Signs MoU With Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University Of Science And Technology (DCRUST)

New Delhi, Aug 23: In its consistent endeavor to provide various Information and Communications Technology (ICT) services to various Departments of Govt. of Haryana and Empowering Digital Growth of the State, RailTel a Mini Ratna CPSU of Ministry of Railways has signed yet another MoU which is now with Haryana’s State University Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology (DCRUST), located in Murthal, Sonipatfor proliferation of various ICT and Telecom Services in the University.

The signing-inceremony was graced by Vice Chancellor, DCRUST, Prof. (Dr) Rajendra Kumar Anayath, Registrar, DCRUST Prof. Suresh Kumar and Executive Director, RailTel Northern Region Smt. Vijaylaxmi Kaushik along with various Senior Faculty Members of DCRUST, and Officers from RailTel side.

Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), there will be long term collaboration between the two parties to provide various ICT services like ERP and Campus Management, National Knowledge Network Connectivity, Creation of Wi-Fi Hot Spots, HD CCTV Surveillance,Aadhar Based ldentity Services, Data Center, High Speed Internet Connectivity, Supply and Management of ICT Equipment’s, University Management and Learning Management System, High Definition Video Conferencing System & Campus Audio Visual Management. E-Office Managed Services, Digital Signature, Online Counselling Management for Admissions etc. These ICT services will enable university students and teachers to connect with external world in the area of education and research and will facilitate creation of State-of-the Art ICT infrastructure in the University, imparting of quality education and promotion of technology enabled learning.

Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science & Technology, Murthal has the vision to facilitate and promote studies and research in emerging areas of higher education with focus on new frontiers of science, engineering, technology, architecture and management studies, humanities, and also to achieve excellence in these and connected fields.

Presently, RailTel is already providing various ICT services across the State of Haryana to various Govt. Institutions of the State like Vishwakarma Skill University (SVSU) Gurugram; National Dairy Research Institute, (NDRI), Karnal; Indian Institute of Management (IIM),Rohtak; National Institute of Technology (NIT),Kurukshetra; National Bureau of Animal Genetic Resources (NBAGR), Karnal;Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS), Rohtak; State University of Performing and Visual Arts (SUPVA),Rohtak; Chaudhary Devi Lal University(CDLU), Sirsa; Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University(CRSU), Jind; and various DCOffices etc. RailTel is also managing various day to day operations of State Wide Area Network (SWAN) for Haryana state under Hartron for last Seven Years.
