New Delhi, Sept 15: Public Sector Banks (PSBs) are now poised to play a significant role in achieving ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’, having moved beyond a phase of survival and stability, according to a top government official.
At the ‘PSB Manthan 2025’ event, discussions emphasized that PSBs should aim for global competitiveness, strengthen governance, and champion growth in traditional sectors like agriculture and MSMEs, as well as emerging ones such as renewable energy and AI.
Key themes included enhancing customer experience through digitalization, improving risk management, modernizing technology, building cyber resilience, and fostering collaboration with fintechs and academic institutions.
