New Delhi, Feb 27: Narendra Modi will address a post-Budget webinar titled “Technology, Reforms and Finance for Viksit Bharat” on Friday via video conferencing, focusing on infrastructure, financial sector reforms and capital market deepening.
The webinar, part of a series linked to the Union Budget 2026–27, will deliberate on public capital expenditure, banking and financial sector architecture, tax reforms and ease of living measures.
It aims to gather structured feedback from stakeholders including industry, regulators, financial institutions and academia to ensure effective implementation of Budget announcements.
In the Budget, Nirmala Sitharaman announced a capital expenditure of Rs 12.2 lakh crore for 2026–27 to accelerate infrastructure development and job creation. She also projected a reduction in the fiscal deficit to 4.3 per cent of GDP, continuing the government’s fiscal consolidation roadmap after meeting the 4.4 per cent target for 2025–26.
