PM Modi Sees ‘Meaningful Expansion’ in Ties After Talks with Jordan King

New Delhi, Dec 16: Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the outcomes of his visit to Jordan, describing it as a “meaningful expansion” of the India-Jordan partnership.

During his meeting with King Abdullah II, they aimed to increase bilateral trade to $5 billion and discussed collaboration between Jordan’s digital payment system and India’s UPI.

Several MoUs were finalized covering culture, renewable energy, water management, digital infrastructure, and a twinning arrangement between Petra and Ellora.

Modi emphasized the importance of these agreements for enhancing cooperation in clean energy, water resource management, and heritage conservation, while also fostering deeper cultural ties and digital transformation.

Both leaders discussed regional developments and reiterated their commitment to achieving peace and stability in the region.
