Amman, Dec 16 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the India-Jordan Business Forum in Amman on December 16, emphasizing the potential for India and Jordan to leverage geographical advantages for long-term economic growth.

He highlighted Jordan’s strategic position under King Abdullah II’s leadership as a bridge connecting various regions, facilitating enhanced trade and cooperation.

PM Modi noted that India ranks as the third-largest trading partner of Jordan and stressed the importance of building lasting relationships beyond mere trade figures.

He reminisced about historical trade routes from Gujarat to Europe via Petra, advocating for the revival of these connections to foster future prosperity. Furthermore, he discussed collaborative opportunities in areas such as renewable energy, digital innovation, and cultural cooperation, signifying a deepening partnership between New Delhi and Amman.
