New Delhi, June 13 Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the “Seva Teerth” and “Kartavya Bhavan” complexes to India, marking a milestone in the nation’s quest for ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India).
He emphasized the shift from colonial-era governance, represented by structures designed for authority, to a citizen-centric approach signified by these new facilities. Modi pointed out that while colonial buildings enforced distant rulership, the new complexes aim to serve the aspirations of 1.4 billion Indians.
He articulated the need for modern infrastructure to support technological advancements, highlighting the inadequacies of older buildings. ‘Seva Teerth’ symbolizes a commitment to service and the fulfillment of citizens’ dreams.
The Prime Minister called for a work culture focused on understanding and addressing public needs, reinforcing that citizens’ thoughts are the core strength of India’s democracy. Reflecting on his governance of the past 11 years, he noted an uplift of 250 million people from poverty and urged officials to prioritize public welfare in their daily work.
Modi concluded with a reminder that true service emerges from dedication to duty, advocating for a legacy of pride and service among future employees in these new spaces.
