Oil India Limited bags National Safety Award (Mines)-2020

New Delhi, March 10: Oil India Limited (OIL), India’s second largest National Exploration & Production Company, bagged National Safety Award (Mines) 2020&Runner-up trophy of National Safety Award (Mines) 2019 under category Scheme -1, Longest Accident Free Period. The awards were presented by Bhupender Yadav, Union Minister of Labour & Employment, Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Govt. of India, in the presence of  RameswarTeli, Minister of State, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Govt. of Indiain an award ceremony held on 08 March,2022 in New Delhi.

On behalf of Oil India limited, Ms.Kakali Sarma,Superintending Engineer (Production-W), Western Asset and Uttam Saikia, Operotor-1, Western Assetreceivedthe National Safety Award (Mines) 2020 and Rehan Ahmad,Deputy Chief Engineer (MSO-W), Western Asset& Susanta Baruah, Junior Engineer-II, Western Assetreceivedthe Runner-up trophyof National Safety Award (Mines) 2019.

The NSA is given by Ministry of Labour & Employment,Govt. of Indiain recognition of outstanding safety performance of industrial establishments, construction sites, ports and installations under Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) to stimulate and maintain theinterests of both the management and the workers in accident prevention programs.
