New Delhi, Oct 14: NTPC Bongaigaon Football Club, sponsored by NTPC Bongaigaon under its CSR initiative, has won the Champion Trophy of the A Division Inter Club Football League 2025, organized by the Kokrajhar District Sports Association.
The club, formed in 2014, has nurtured rural football talents through its CSR and Sports Council initiatives. The club, which played 9 matches with 7 wins and 2 draws, accumulated 23 points and earned promotion to the Super Division League.
Two emerging stars, Dinti Hazowary and Dhananjay Brahma, were the highest scorers with 8 goals each.
The team’s commitment, discipline, and inspiring journey from grassroots to glory were praised by Arnab Maitra, Head of Project, NTPC Bongaigaon.
