New Delhi, Oct 20: NLC India Limited (NLCIL) & Kerala State Electricity Board Limited (KSEBL) signed Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for procuring 400 MW from the upcoming NLC Talabira Thermal Power Project of 2400 MW capacity (3 X 800 MW) at Talabira, Odisha on 19.10.2022 at the Secretariat of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram.
The PPA was exchanged by Rakesh Kumar, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of NLC India Limited and Dr. Rajan N Khobragade, IAS Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Kerala State Electricity Board Limited in the august presence of K Krishnankutty, Hon’ble Minister for Electricity, Kerala, Siji Jose, Director (Generation – Electrical)/KSEBL, Shaji John, Director (Power)/NLCIL and L Chandrasekar, IFS, CVO/NLCIL.
The Agreement was signed by Shaji John, Director (Power), NLCIL and Siji Jose, Director (Generation – Electrical), Kerala State Electricity Board. Earlier, Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited (TANGEDCO) and Electricity Department, Govt. of Puducherry has signed PPA with NLC India Limited for procuring 1500 MW and 100 MW respectively.
