New Delhi, April 15: NLCIL joined the Nation in observing the 134th AmbedkarJayanthi today, on 14.04.25. AmbedkarJayanthi is observed on 14th April every year to commemorate the memory of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, marking his birthday.
Samir Swarup, Director (HR), NLCIL, paid floral tributes by garlanding Dr.Ambedkar’s bronze statue at Pudukuppam Junction of Neyveli Township on behalf of NLCIL. The function was organised by the NLC SC/ST Employees’ Welfare Federation.
Samir Swarup paid rich tributes to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar by recalling the contributions made by him in drafting the Indian Constitution. Executive Directors, Senior officials of NLCIL, members of ST Employees Welfare Association and other NLCIL Trade Unions/Associations participated in the function. ThiruVeera. Balu, President and Thiru A. Pazhanivelu, Office Secretary of NLC SC/ST Employees Welfare Federation were also present during the occasion.
Thiru M. Manisekaran, General Secretary of NLC SC/ST Employees Welfare Federation welcomed the gathering while Thiru R. Ilayaraja, Treasurer, proposed vote of thanks.
Floral tributes were also paid to the portrait of Dr.BabasahebAmbedkar at all NLCIL Units and Offices by the respective Unit Heads.
