New Delhi, June 22: NTPC Bongaigaon has further strengthened its commitment to quality education and community development by inaugurating a major educational infrastructure project at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV), Balijan, in Arunachal Pradesh under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme. The initiative, implemented at a cost of ₹1.80 crore, is expected to significantly enhance learning opportunities and academic infrastructure for students in the region.

The project comprises the construction and development of modern Science Laboratories, a Library and five Classrooms, creating an improved educational environment for students and teachers alike. The infrastructure has been designed to support academic excellence, practical learning and overall student development while addressing the growing educational requirements of the area.

The newly developed facilities were inaugurated by Shri Nabam Vivek, Hon’ble MLA, 14th Govind Constituency, Arunachal Pradesh, in the presence of Shri Takar Rava, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Balijan, senior officials of NTPC Bongaigaon, Smt. Sujatha Nayak, Secretary, VKV Balijan, along with teachers, students, parents, community members and local stakeholders.

The inauguration ceremony marked another milestone in NTPC Bongaigaon’s ongoing efforts to support educational institutions and create opportunities for holistic development through strategic CSR interventions.
