New Delhi, Aug 04: Arunachalam Nalini, Senior Manager (Finance), NHPC has won Bronze Medals in in both Discus Throw and Shotput events at the 8th World Dwarf Games 2023 in Cologne, Germany. Nalini has now won total of 3 medals at the World Dwarf Games 2023 after winning Bronze medal in Badminton Doubles event earlier at the games. The World Dwarf Games are the largest international sporting event held exclusively for athletes with dwarfism. Its goal is to attract athletes with dwarfism from around the world to participate in sports.
Nalini is a finance professional and posted at NHPC’s Solar Power Project, Tamil Nadu. Despite her multiple disability (Orthopedically disabled and a dwarf), she has won many medals in various national and international tournaments. NHPC has extended all the necessary support to Nalini for participating in the 8th World Dwarf Games. NHPC always encourages its employees to participate in sports.
एनएचपीसी की कार्मिक ने वर्ल्ड ड्वार्फ गेम्स- 2023, जर्मनी में डिस्कस थ्रो और शॉटपुट में कांस्य पदक जीता
सुश्री अरुणाचलम नलिनी, वरिष्ठ प्रबंधक (वित्त), एनएचपीसी ने जर्मनी के कोलोन में 8वें वर्ल्ड ड्वार्फ गेम्स 2023 में डिस्कस थ्रो और शॉटपुट दोनों स्पर्धाओं में कांस्य पदक जीता है। सुश्री नलिनी ने अब तक वर्ल्ड ड्वार्फ गेम्स 2023 में कुल 3 पदक जीते हैं। इससे पहले उन्होने बैडमिंटन युगल स्पर्धा में कांस्य पदक जीता था। वर्ल्ड ड्वार्फ गेम्स विशेष रूप से ड्वार्फिज़्म वाले एथलीटों के लिए आयोजित किया जाने वाला सबसे बड़ा अंतर्राष्ट्रीय खेल आयोजन है। इसका लक्ष्य दुनिया भर से ड्वार्फिज़्म वाले एथलीटों को खेलों में भाग लेने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करना है।
सुश्री नलिनी एक फ़ाइनेंस प्रोफेशनल हैं और एनएचपीसी के सौर ऊर्जा परियोजना, तमिलनाडु में तैनात हैं। सुश्री नलिनी ने अपनी बहुविकलांगता (ओर्थोपीडिक और ड्वार्फ) के बावजूद विभिन्न राष्ट्रीय और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय प्रतियोगिताओं में कई पदक जीते हैं। एनएचपीसी ने सुश्री नलिनी को इस 8वें वर्ल्ड ड्वार्फ गेम्स 2023 में भाग लेने के लिए सभी आवश्यक सहायता प्रदान की है। एनएचपीसी हमेशा अपने कर्मचारियों को खेलों में भाग लेने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करती रहती है।
