Kathmandu, Dec 4 (IANS): Nepal is set to discuss aviation fuel supply from India through the cross-border petroleum pipeline at a meeting scheduled for December 8 in New Delhi.
Following the completion of the Motihari–Amlekhgunj pipeline, which began transporting diesel in September 2019, Nepal plans to propose the supply of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) once the extension to Lothar is complete.
The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) aims to establish an ATF depot in Lothar to facilitate this. The discussions will also address contamination prevention measures for transporting various fuels.
Additionally, a private company in Nepal has started importing Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) from India, marking a significant advancement in regional energy security and cooperation.
