Mangaluru, 22 November 2025: Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) celebrated the 70th Kannada Rajyotsava with an event featuring a procession of Goddess Bhuvaneswari and traditional performances like Dollu Kunitha and Gombe Kunitha, reflecting Karnataka’s cultural richness.
Key figures honored included Captain Pranjal M. V. and Padma Salumarada Thimmakka. Chief Guest Dr. Pundikay Ganapayya Bhat praised MRPL’s commitment to cultural heritage, while Krishna Hegde Miyar emphasized the importance of Kannada as a symbol of identity.
MRPL recognized five retired Kannada teachers for their contributions and announced initiatives to support Kannada Medium Schools. The festivities concluded with awards for competition winners and a performance by the Arehole team.
