Narendra Modi Meets Benjamin Netanyahu in Tel Aviv
Tel Aviv, Feb 25 Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a private meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shortly after arriving in Israel on a two-day State Visit, with both leaders reaffirming the deep strategic partnership between the two nations.
Welcoming PM Modi at Ben-Gurion International Airport along with First Lady Sara Netanyahu, the Israeli Prime Minister described the relationship as a “bond of real friendship” and called Modi a “great friend.”
After the meeting, PM Modi said discussions covered a wide range of subjects aimed at boosting bilateral ties, including technology, water management, agriculture, innovation, defence, trade and people-to-people exchanges. Regional developments were also discussed.
This marks PM Modi’s second visit to Israel in nine years, following his landmark 2017 trip that expanded cooperation in defence, agriculture and water management. During the visit, he is also scheduled to meet Israeli President Isaac Herzog and address the Israeli Parliament, the Knesset.
The Ministry of External Affairs described Israel as a key strategic and technological partner, highlighting growing collaboration in futuristic technologies and shared global priorities.
PM Modi expressed confidence that the visit would further consolidate the India-Israel Strategic Partnership and advance a shared vision for a resilient and innovative future.
