New Delhi, May 12: NTPC Bongaigaon joined the rest of the country in celebrating the International Nurses Day at its hospital premises today. May 12 has been chosen as the day to commemorate nurses’ contribution because of the splendid work carried out by Florence Nightingale — the founder of modern nursing.
The hospital staff highlighted the vital, life-saving contribution of nurses across the country and stressed on their important role in the medical sector and more prominently during Covid. All the nursing staff of the hospital took oath to continue their services for humanity services.
Candle lightning and cake cutting were also done on the occasion.
Dr. Avinash Saikia, ACMO, nursing officer, doctors and paramedic staff were also present on the occasion.
