IndianOil assists Delhi Fire Services’s efforts to extinguish the massive AIIMS Fire


Provides 144,000 Litres of Water to 12 Fire Tenders

Regular Mock Drills done in the past with Delhi Fire Services help in quick coordination during crisis

New Delhi, Aug 18 After a major fire broke out at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi on Saturday, IndianOil’s Northern Regional Office swung into action to provide 144,000 Litres of water for firefighting purposes to 12 Fire Tenders of the Delhi Fire Services.

The regular emergency mock drills held in the past between IndianOil and Delhi Fire Services proved to be a boon as the Fire tenders began reaching the premises of IndianOil Bhavan which is just a kilometre away from AIIMS and is considered to be a reliable source of fire water supply with around 275,000 Litres of Water Storage. Water was supplied for firefighting to ten fire tenders till 2200 hours and later on around midnight to two more fire tenders which took the water for cooling operations at AIIMS.

IndianOil’s Northern Regional Office has also assisted in firefighting efforts in the recent past in the event of major and minor fires in the nearby areas and has been a reliable partner to the Delhi Fire Services in its firefighting efforts
