New Delhi, Dec 05: Russian President Vladimir Putin received a ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan during his two-day visit to India on December 5.
Accompanied by Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the event highlighted the continued strategic importance of India-Russia relations in a changing global landscape.
Upon his arrival, President Putin was warmly welcomed by PM Modi at the airport, with the two leaders sharing a cordial embrace. Their itinerary is set to include official talks at Hyderabad House, focusing on defense, energy cooperation, regional security, and long-term economic partnerships, followed by press statements.
Additionally, Putin will participate in a business event to enhance commercial ties and will later attend a banquet hosted by President Murmu. Preparations in New Delhi included extensive decorations to reflect the significance of the visit.
PM Modi emphasized the longstanding friendship between India and Russia, framing it as beneficial for both nations. This visit follows recent high-level engagements, reinforcing the stability and strategic necessity of their partnership.
