Amid the escalating military action involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, India’s Ministry of Civil Aviation has moved swiftly to ensure that passengers and crew remain safe.
Airlines operating international routes have been directed to constantly monitor airspace advisories and Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs), and to reroute or divert flights whenever necessary. For travellers, this could mean longer journeys, unexpected stopovers, or last-minute schedule changes — but officials say safety must come first.
Behind the scenes, aviation authorities are working round the clock. Major airports across the country have been placed on operational alert to handle possible flight diversions and unscheduled landings. Ground staff are preparing for extra passenger assistance, from managing queues to arranging food, accommodation, and updated travel information.
