Government Invites Feedback from Stakeholders on 8th Pay Commission

New Delhi, March 06: The Eighth Central Pay Commission has invited representations from stakeholders and will accept submissions until April 30, 2026, according to an official statement.

The commission has introduced a structured online format on its website to receive memorandums from associations and unions representing serving employees and pensioners, as well as from institutions, organisations, individual employees, pensioners and other interested stakeholders.

The same submission format is also available on the MyGov portal, the Finance Ministry said, adding that stakeholders are required to submit their inputs exclusively through the portal. Paper-based copies, emails or PDF submissions may not be considered by the commission.

More than 1.1 crore central government employees and pensioners are closely tracking developments around the rollout of the 8th Pay Commission. However, the implementation of revised salaries and pensions in FY27 appears unlikely.

The commission has been given an 18-month deadline to submit its report, making it improbable for the government to implement pay revisions within FY27 unless the panel completes its consultations and submits recommendations ahead of schedule.
