Washington, Nov 10 (IANS): US President Donald Trump will attend the swearing-in ceremony for Sergio Gor, the new US ambassador to India, on November 10.
Gor, confirmed by a Senate vote in October, will be the youngest ambassador to India and is noted for being one of Trump’s closest aides. Earlier, Trump expressed his trust in Gor to fulfill his agenda, highlighting the importance of India as a strategic partner.
During his confirmation hearing, Gor emphasized strengthening defence ties and expanding cooperation in various sectors. His recent meetings with Indian officials, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, underscore the focus on deepening the US-India relationship.
