Canada to Showcase Healthcare Expertise at Medical Fair India 2022

MUMBAI, May 16 Canada will participate at the 27th edition of Medical Fair India taking place from 20th to 22nd May 2022 in Mumbai to explore collaboration opportunities with Indian healthcare businesses.

Canadian Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) in Mumbai, in collaboration with the Ontario Trade & Investment Offices in India and the Quebec Government Office in India, is bringing together a delegation of 13 Canadian companies to showcase their technology, products, services and solutions to the life sciences industry in India.

Members of Canadian Trade Commissioner Service will be present on Canada Pavilion (booth no. C-28) to provide on-the-ground assistance and facilitate business interactions between participating Canadian delegates and Indian local contacts.

Canada offers an innovative environment for life sciences companies, with first-rate academic institutions, wide-reaching research networks, numerous partnership opportunities and low costs. Canada’s key strengths are in the areas of research & development, with over 50 excellent research hospitals, 23 life science networks and 40 incubators and accelerators. Canada supports growth in med-tech innovation.

The Government of Canada has invested $950 million to create five industry-led superclusters in Canada, including digital technologies (Vancouver), advanced manufacturing (Toronto) and artificial intelligence (Montréal).

Diedrah Kelly, Consul General of Canada confirms that “Canada is keen to further strengthening trade ties in the life sciences sector. This delegation of 13 companies visiting the Medical Fair India further depicts the optimism and interest of Canadian companies within India’s healthcare sector. Key areas of interest include biotechnology, diagnostics, laboratory, hospital infrastructure, e-health/health IT, medical technology and analytical equipment. I look forward to further collaborations and new synergies from Canada’s participation at the 27th edition of Medical Fair India. Furthermore, I invite Indian delegates to connect with our Trade Commissioners who can assist with procurement, investment, innovation and knowledge partnerships in Canada.”
