New Delhi, Feb 14: Cabinet approval has been granted for upgrading two sections of National Highway-56 in Gujarat, allocating Rs 4,583.64 crore for the construction of 4-lane sections covering a total length of 107.67 km.
This project aims to enhance road connectivity, particularly for tribal areas in the Aspirational District of Narmada, and is expected to reduce travel time by 40%, generating significant employment opportunities.
It will also improve access to the Statue of Unity and facilitate better traffic management by easing congestion on NH-56.
