AS A PART OF AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV AN AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON LABOUR LAW WAS ORGANISED AT NEYVELI


New Delhi, March 12: In commemoration of the 75th year of India’s Independence (Azadi ka Amrit Mahhotsav) the Union Ministry of Labour& Employment has organised a one day awareness programme on Labour Laws to the Contract Employees of NLCIL at Learning & Development Centre, Neyveli today (11.03.2022).While inaugurating the programme, ShriRakesh Kumar, CMD, NLCIL gave away two sets of stitched uniform to the Contract Workmen of the company.

Nation is celebrating the 75th Year of India’s Independence and the Government of India has organised various events and initiatives to celebrate AzadikaAmritMahotsav. One such function – Iconic Week of AzadiKaAmritMahotsavis observed between 07.03.2022 and 13.03.2022.

As a part of this celebration, the Union Ministry of Labour and Employment is organizing Interactive sessions on “Labour Laws” to the employees by Central Public Sector Companies.  In line with this, an Interactive session was organised at the Yegneswaran Auditorium of Learning & Development Centre, Neyveli today (11.03.2022) by the Labour Ministry functioning in Tamil Nadu.  Shri P. Arun Kumar, Dy. Chief Labour Commissioner (Central), Chennai and Shri B. PariVallal, Labour Enforcement Officer, (Central)Puducherry has organised the session. While inaugurating the session, ShriRakesh Kumar, CMD, NLCIL informs that the NLCIL fulfills the needs of the contract workmen of the company and always treat them as the part of NLCIL family.  The single agenda that was not yet implemented, on the recently signed 12(3) Settlement with Trade Unions is issuance of two sets of stitched uniform.  And he started the scheme by presenting two sets of uniform to them.

The event was witnessed by Shri N. SadishBabu, Executive Director/HR, Seniorofficials of NLCIL, Senior officials of Union Labour& Employment Ministry, Principal Office Bearers of recognized Trade Unions and other Trade Unions and a number of Contract Employees.
