New Delhi, March 27: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Noida International Airport, marking a major milestone in strengthening connectivity across the National Capital Region (NCR).
The airport, located in Jewar, is set to commence operations following the completion of Phase I, with the Prime Minister scheduled to address a public gathering after the inauguration.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has reviewed final preparations in Greater Noida ahead of the high-profile event. Authorities have implemented extensive security arrangements, dividing the area into multiple zones and deploying police and paramilitary forces, along with heightened surveillance.
To manage the expected large turnout, a detailed traffic plan has been put in place, including restrictions on goods vehicles along the Yamuna Expressway and Noida Expressway for several hours on Saturday.
Positioned as one of Asia’s largest aviation hubs, the airport is expected to significantly improve regional and international connectivity, attract investments, and accelerate economic and industrial growth in Uttar Pradesh and the broader northern region.
