4th Edition of Jal Prahari Samman Samaroh 2023 held in New Delhi to honour 32 water warriors across India Shri Rajiv Ranjan Mishra (IAS) Retd. was the Chief Speaker at the inaugural session organised by Sarkaritel.com supported by Ministry of Jal Shakti and knowledge partners Niti Aayog, National Water Mission, Jal Jeevan Mission and supported by German GiZ, UNOPS and National Institute of Urban Affairs

Mr Rajiv Ranjan Mishra for the former head of India’s National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG). NMCG is an ambitious flagship initiative launched by the Indian government with projects worth USD 3.73 Billion for effective abatement of pollution, conservation, and rejuvenation of the River Ganges and its tributaries. A big advocate of cross-sectoral coordination, he has been largely responsible for shaping the softer approaches for river management in the basin, in addition to the traditional engineering solutions. An officer of the prestigious Indian Administrative Services, Mr. Mishra has held top management positions in India’s Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs; Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change; and the former Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation giving him the unique advantage of multi-perspective understanding of river management from a governance point of view. In a resolute commitment to championing water conservation initiatives and fostering a collective consciousness towards building a “Jal Atmanirbhar Bharat”,

The 4th Edition of Jal Prahari Samman Samaroh was held on December 13, 2023, at the New Maharashtra Sadan in New Delhi. This prestigious event was organized by Sarkaritel.com with the support of the Niti Aayog, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India, in collaboration with UNOPS, National Jal Jeevan Mission, National Water Mission, CEEW, German GiZ, and NIUA as Knowledge Partners. Under the theme of ‘Jal Atmanirbhar Bharat,’ the event celebrated water conservation efforts from all over India. Over 32 water conservators from across the country were felicitated with the esteemed Jal Prahari honour to acknowledge the tremendous efforts that they have put in over the years.
