RailTel successfully organizes special campaign 2.0.

The campaign covered varied subjects like cleanliness, record management, space management, scrap disposal, expeditious disposal of pending public grievance cases etc.

New Delhi, Nov 08: RAILTEL organized special campaign 2.0 focusing on cleanliness, good governance and effective delivery of services. The campaign was undertaken in two phases-preparatory phase from 14- Sep-22 to 30-Sep-22 and implementation phase from 2-Oct-22 to 31-Oct-22 both at the level of Corporate Office and Regional Offices.

Under the campaign, Chairman & Managing Director, Railtel, Sanjai Kumar administered the “Swachhta Shapath” to RailTel employees on 16th September’2022 in all RailTel offices across India. A Nukkad Natak by in house team was also organized on this day to spread awareness regarding Swachhta. A Swachhta Phakwada was observerd from 16-Sep-22 to 2- Oct-22 which included activities like general cleanliness, elimination of plastic waste across offices, scrap disposal (old furniture and unused items), management of space, tree plantations, etc.

RailTel’s Sabse Swachh Point of Presence POP (Telecom Infrastructure locations) competition was organized where all the Territories of RailTel participated for winning the Running Shield for Sabse Swachh POP. The participants shared the before and after pictures of POP after Swachhta Abhiyaan in their respective offices. The winners were suitably rewarded.

Later, during 2-Oct-22 to 31-Oct-22, Railtel took steps to expeditiously dispose off the pending public grievances cases, appeals and VIP references. An internal committee formed for weeding out of old records submitted its report outlining parameters and guidelines etc. and follow up action has been initiated both at corporate office and in regional office.

Many systemic improvements were implemented during the period. In addition, a Compendium on Systemic Improvements in RailTel was also compiled.

The website of Railtel has also been revamped and updated incorporating some new user friendly features.

All the activities were highlighted through social media platforms. The employees participated enthusiastically in the special campaign 2.0.
