NLCIL DONATES 4 MEDICAL OXYGEN PLANTS WORTH RS.3 Cr. TO STATES

On 07-10-2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modiji, dedicated one Pressure Swing Absorption (PSA) technology based oxygen Plant in each State and Union Territory, which are installed under PM CARES Fund.  In synchronisation with the spirit, Central Public Sector Units functioning under Union Coal Ministry also dedicated the Oxygen Plants installed by them through CSR initiatives.

Four oxygen generators, installed by the State-owned public sector entrerprise, NLC India Ltd., under its CSR initiatives, in the States of Tamil Nadu, Odisha and Uttar Pradesh were dedicated to the Nation on 07.10.2021 by the People’s representatives of the respective areas concerned.

NLCIL is envisaging on installation of 28 Oxygen Plants of capacity ranging from 12 NM3 /Hour to 30 NM3 /Hour  in the States of Tamil Nadu (10 Nos.), Rajasthan (6 Nos.), Odisha       (1 No.), Uttar Pradesh(5 Nos.) and Karnataka (6 Nos.) at a total cost of Rs.18.83 Crore. Of which 2 Plants of 12 NM3 /Hour capacity, were commissioned and inaugurated in NLC India Hospital, Neyveli by Rao Saheb Patil Danve, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Coal, Mines and Railways on 16.07.2021 through Video Conference mode.

The work for installation of remaining 22 Plants in various States by NLCIL are under progress. Among the 4 Oxygen Plants, one Plant of 30 NM3 /Hour capacity, erected at Government Medical College Hospital, Villupuram, Tamil Nadu was dedicated by R.Mohan, Executive Director/P&BD, NLCIL in the presence of Dr.Kundavi Devi, Dean of the Hospital. Another O2 Plant of 30 NM3 /Hour capacity installed in VIMSAR Hospital, Burla in Odisha State was dedicated to the Nation, today by Nithish Gangdeb, M.P. Sambalpur Constituency, Odisha.

In the State of Uttar Pradesh, two O2 Plants of 30 NM3 /Hour capacity each are installed in Community Health Centre, Ghatampur and MMG Hospital, Ghaziabad. While the first one was dedicated to the Nation by Upendranath Paswan, MLA. Ghatampur Constituency,  the second one was dedicated to the Nation  by General V.K.Singh, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Road Transport, Highways and Civil Aviation.

Rakesh Kumar, CMD, NLCIL,  R. Vikraman, Shaji John and Jaikumar Srinivasan, Functional Directors, L. Chandrasekar, IFS, CVO, Senior Officials and Employees of NLCIL joined the occasion through Video Conferencing mode.
