Ministers of External Affairs, Dr. S Jaishankar and Youth Affairs & Sports, Kiren Rijiju, on Dec. 16, 2020 jointly laid the Foundation Stone of 6 Nos. Squash Courts at Major Dhyan Chand Stadium, Delhi to be constructed by NBCC. S/Shri Sandip Pradhan, DG, SAI; L.S. Singh, Joint Secretary (Sports-Development); Cyrus Poncha, Secretary General of Squash Rackets Federation of India & Neelesh Shah, Director (Projects), NBCC along with other officials of Ministry of Sports, SAI & NBCC were also present on the occasion.
Ministers appreciated NBCC for its commitment in Pre- Construction activity of this Project and to start the work in record time of three months after award work. The Squash Courts to be constructed, will match international standards.
