
ONGC celebrates this day every year to renew its pledge for national energy security. The ONGC flag is hoisted at all the work centers, including the 40 oversea projects in 21 countries.
The corporate function was held at Dehradun. CMD Mr Shashi Shanker unfurled the resplendent yellow and earth brown ONGC flag in the forecourt of the Subir Raha Oil Museum at Tel Bhavan, Dehradun. CMD and the Directors planted trees at the rear gate of Tel Bhavan, giving the message – “To save our environment one has to save and grow trees.”
The ONGC Day Pledge at registered office of ONGC at DUB, New Delhi was led by Director (Finance) ONGC Videsh Limited Mr Vivekanand and Director (Exploration) ONGC Videsh Limited Mr G S Chaturvedi. The ONGC Officers vowed to dedicate themselves to nation’s energy security, through their diligence. ONGC Pledge was administered to a large gathering of employees.
The highest producing work center of ONGC, Mumbai pledged to strive enhancing national energy security. Executive Director Mr Suresh Jandial administrated the pledge to gathering of employees. The production of ONGC from Arabian Sea contributes around 60 percent of the total domestic production of Oil and Gas in India.
Various other work centers of ONGC across India also took the pledge to dedicate themselves for national energy security. Mehsana (the largest onshore asset of ONGC), Ankleshwar, Ahmedabad Assam, Chennai, Kakinada, Rajahmundry, Tripura to name a few, also celebrated Foundation Day with great enthusiasm.
